If developers focus their attention only on the “average consumer,” they will leave out users with specific needs and preferences. There is a significant risk of exclusion.

The foundation of an accessible publishing ecosystem is becoming more clearly defined. This is an ecosystem in which fundamental and important accessibility features can be used consistently by developers. Included in this ecosystem are authoring tools, digital content, reading systems and distribution platforms.
