The Accessible Books Consortium (ABC) has recently launched an accessible publishing concept course for publishers to assist them in their accessibility journey.
This course, designed in partnership with The DAISY Consortium, covers a variety of key topic areas aimed directly at those working in the publishing industry and is available as a high level self-study course covering areas such as best practice, accessibility standards, accessibility metadata and image description, to name but a few.
Free of charge, it is currently available only in English but it will also be available in French and Spanish in the near future.
The DAISY Consortium and Inclusive Publishing are very excited about this course and the opportunity it will provide for online learning in this field. By the end of this month, it will be accompanied by other courses on the DAISY Learning Platform on Accessible Word and The Marrakesh Treaty.
Read more about how you can access the course on the ABC launch page.
