Accessible Illustrated Books and Where to Find Them

New technologies and the adoption of standards allow publishers to born accessible publications. Complex layout books, such as children’s books, require specific knowledge to achieve this goal. This seminar, organized by the LIA Foundation, will provide an insight on the opportunities and the challenges focusing specifically on the European Accessibility Act and what is it required for the children’s book market. In addition:

• Image descriptions: how to provide meaningful descriptions for different categories of images (photos, infographics, schemes, graphs)
