Axe-Con 2025

February 25, 2025 - February 27, 2025

Axe-con is the world’s largest digital accessibility conference. Last year, over 30,000 people registered to attend, representing more than 12,000 organizations. Hosted by Deque, this event is a free and virtual event, welcoming developers, designers, business users, and accessibility professionals of all experience levels to lear about building, testing, and maintaining accessible digital experiences.

The APACE project, led by Fondazione LIA, aims to strengthen the preparation of the European publishing industry for the upcoming European Accessibility Act. The “Ask the Expert” events are a series of one-hour webinars that allow participants to learn more about a specific topic and ask questions of invited experts.

This session will focus on reading systems, giving participants an idea of the different reading systems, what their features are and which of those features are useful for persons with print impairment. DAISY’s Richard Orme is the invited expert at this event and we look forward to a lively conversation.
