Join us as we take a look back at the accessible publishing journey we’ve taken, celebrating the positive changes and clarity we’ve found along the way. Looking also to the future of EAA, the remaining challenges and topics requiring clarification. We’ll also look at similar legislation that is emerging around the world, identifying lessons from our EAA experiences that we can share people just beginning their path towards accessible publishing.
The APACE project is hosting European Accessibility Summer School, a two-day experience where publishing professionals, accessibility experts and key stakeholders come together to shape the future of inclusive publishing. Delegates can expect the opportunity to:

- Participate in hands-on sessions and collaborative discussions with peers
Join the IPG’s accessibility training! Accessibility is one of publishing’s hottest topics in 2025, and European Union legislation puts new requirements on publishers from June 28th. Is your publishing properly accessible, and are you ready for the new legal obligations? To help, the IPG is pleased to offer timely expert guidance in an online training session.
The one-day training delivers an expert overview of accessibility issues and lots of practical tips and tools to improve your publishing. Led by publishing consultant and accessibility specialist Simon Mellins.
The popular BIC Brunch series of webinars dedicated to Accessibility will focus on accessibility considerations for printed books. Although not covered by the EAA, the accessibility of printed books cannot be ignored and attendees will hear how to create printed books that meet the needs of all readers—including those with dyslexia, visual impairments, and Special Educational Needs (SEN). Amongst other things, speakers will share their accessibility expertise on subjects such as font type, font size, design tips (including colour contrast, images, layout etc), large print, braille etc.
Attendees will gain actionable insights, hints and tips, and there will also be a dedicated Q&A session which provides the perfect opportunity to ask questions.
